Fishing and Crabbing |
Fishing and crabbing from shore is available to the public at Sandy Point State Park on the Chesapeake, or at Jonas Green State Park on the tidal Severn. The latter park features a fishing pier composed of part of the old Route 2 bridge. Severn Run Natural Environmental Area has fishing for rainbow trout along its banks, but no amenities. Fishing on the tidal Severn requires a Maryland Tidal Sport Fishing License, available at stores selling fishing supplies. Fishing regulations for tidal waters can be found on-line. Fishing in non-tidal waters of the Severn watershed also requires a license, with regulations also available on-line . |
