Please be advised that Recreation and Parks begins its fiscal year 2009 Operating and Capital Budget formulation cycle in November. Therefore, all park renovation “wish-list” projects to be funded effective July 1, 2008 would have been submitted by October 1, 2007. Emergency repair/ renovation request should be submitted on an “as needed” basis with a follow-up telephone call to the Department’s Office of Planning and Construction at (410) 222-7317. It should be known that the total amount requested for park renovations typically exceeds available funding. Therefore, it is our intention to gather and prioritize the community’s park renovation requests to be included in our departmental budget submittal. Final decisions as to the projects to be funded in fiscal year 2009 budget will be made in May 2008 when the County Council approves the budget. Requesters should not concern themselves with identifying the source of funding (i.e. operating or capital budget); rather, be as specific as possible in describing the scope of work to be performed. The County Park Renovation Request form (shown below) is provided in two different formats. Form listed as "PDF" can be printed and filled in by hand. The Excel form are listed as "Template/ Excel" can be typed, saved on your hard drive and printed. Please complete the form as thoroughly as possible as all information is needed to properly process your request.
