Summer Fun Centers

All Fun Centers will operate from Monday, June 23 through Friday, August 1, 2008. All centers will be closed on July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

School-Age Summer Fun Centers (SFC) are filled with fun and excitement for boys and girls entering grades 1-6. The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 2:30.p.m. Extended hours from 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. are available at selected sites.

Pre-School Fun Centers are available for children ages 3 - 5.  Pre-schoolers must be 3 years old by June 23, 2008. The pre-school program operates as half-day sessions. See individual program location for times. All children attending must be toilet trained.

Pre-Teen Fun Centers are available at selected sites for boys and girls entering grades 5 and 6. Children entering grades 5 and 6 must attend the Pre-Teen Center if it is offered at the site they will be attending. The activities will be more challenging and age- appropriate. The Pre-Teen Fun Centers will take several field trips throughout the summer. Extended hours from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. are available at selected sites.
 
The fun at each location is planned around a variety of themes.  Daily activities include sports, arts and crafts, action-packed indoor and outdoor games, special events and field trips.  Field trip fees are included in registration fee. Staff is not responsible for any additional money children may bring for concessions or souvenirs.  Lunch period is supervised, but the children are required to provide their own food and drink.  Refrigeration is not available. Non-perishable lunches or ice packs are highly encouraged. No transportation will be provided to or from Summer Fun Centers and certain sites do not have air-conditioning. If your child requires medication, the staff will supervise self-administration only if the proper documentation is on file. Special Needs/ Medical Accommodations
If your child has an IEP or has been identified with a special needs plan please disclose at time of registration.  If your child has a medical condition that requires medication or an emergency protocol during program hours please disclose at time of registration. Staff will supervise self-administration only if the proper documentation is on file.
