How to Register

When paying with check or money order, click on regsitration form link above, print form and mail to AACo Recreation and Parks headquarters. Addresses listed on registration form.

General Information

• Complete the appropriate registration form, including all program information requested. Include the program number on your check or money order. Make checks payable to Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks. Checks must be pre-printed with the name and address of the person signing. If the current phone number is not printed on the check, please write the phone number on the front of the check. Include the driver’s license number of the person signing. A $25 fee is assessed for returned checks.

• Recreational/ Athletic Programs - Registration begins immediately online, by mail or walk-in. Regular office hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The night drop box at the main entrance may be used after business hours. Full payment is expected at time of registration.

• Aquatics Programs - ALL FEES FOR CLASSES MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. Registration will be handled based on availability. No refunds will be made after the first day of classes. Walk-in registration at Arundel Swim Center and North Arundel Aquatic Center.

• Parks Programs - Classes sponsored by the parks must be registered at the park site.

• Recreational/ Athletic Programs - Registration begins immediately online, by mail or walk-in. Regular office hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The night drop box at the main entrance may be used after business hours. Payment made by online registration, check or mony order only. Full payment is expected at time of registration.

• Refund Policy

Recreation and Aquatic
All refund requests must be submitted in writing with the exception of cancelled programs. Full refunds are given only if a program is cancelled or there are extenuating circumstances prior to the start date of the program. Cancelled program refunds will be automatically processed for 100% refund. Written requests received, prior to the start date, will forfeit 20% of the fee for the program or no more than $25 for each registration as an administrative fee. Any request received after the start date will be considered on a case by case basis and prorated. Refund request for medical reasons shall be accompanied by a physician’s note.

Trips and Excursions
No refunds will be given unless the space can be filled with another registration; this includes trips cancelled due to inclement weather. Commitments and payments are made for tickets and transportation well in advance. Only when a trip is cancelled due to insufficient registrations will 100% of the trip fee be refunded.

• School Age Child Care Refund Policy
  Please refer to the registration information form.

• Late Pickup Policy
  A late pickup fee will be charged if your child(ren) is picked up after the schedule ending time of the program. The late pickup fee is $1.00 per minute per child. Failure to pay the fee will result in your child(ren) being dismissed from the program or future registrations will not be accepted.

• Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy
  Weather related information is posted under Cancellation Notice or call the Recreation & Parks Hotline at (410) 222-7312 two hours before your scheduled program.

• Special Accommodations – Two week notice is requested for special need accommodation. Questions about appropriate programming for individuals with special need can contact Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor Wendy Scarborough at (410) 222-7311 ext. 3554.

• Photographs - Participants may be photographed during programs and events and the photographs may be reproduced in the Anne Arundel County Program Guide publication and the Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks’ website.
