Downs Park and Quiet Waters Park Day Camps have been structured to accommodate the interests and ages of the campers. The camps will consist of three two-week sessions June 23 through August 1, 2008. Camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily Monday through Friday (excluding Friday, July 4th). Day camp will accommodate campers entering grades K through 4. Activities will include arts and crafts, nature, sports, music and drama, active games, swimming, field trips, special theme days and MORE! The pre-teen campers, entering grades 5 - 6, will be offered activities that are more challenging and age-appropriate. The pre-teen camp will also offer an additional field trip each session. Extended hours will be offered to those attending Downs and Quiet Waters Day Camps this summer from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee of $55.00 per session per child. Downs Park Camp extended hours will be offered at Oak Hill ES, Belvedere ES and Jacobsville ES. Quiet Waters Camp extended hours will be offered at the campsite at Quiet Waters and at Davidsonville Elementary. The camp bus will drop off those needing extended hours at the above sites (other than the Quiet Waters Park Site), but parents must pick their children up at these sites promptly at 5:30 p.m. If your child requires medication the staff will supervise self-administration only if the proper documentation is on file. We will provide water, but you will be responsible for a complete bagged lunch. Field trip costs are included with the fee, however there may be additional fees for trips i.e., concessions and souvenirs. The first session is discounted because of the Independence Day Holiday. Registration Procedure
1. When registering for only one session, the entire fee must accompany the registration form.
2. When registering for multiple sessions A) The entire first or second session fee must accompany the registration form. B) The second and or third session fee deadline is May 16, 2008. After May 19, your child may be withdrawn from the program if fees are outstanding. If there is a problem with your registration, you will be notified immediately, otherwise, you will receive confirmation and a parent information packet within two weeks of registration. A parent information packet will be mailed prior to start of camp. Parent packets will be available online beginning April 1, 2008. Please return the completed packet no later than June 13, 2008.
