Babysitting Basics
Learn how to find babysitting jobs, recognize age appropriate behavior, handle safety issues and what activities to do with the children. This program is certified by the American Health and Safety Institute. This course will also include First Aid information and CPR certification. A certificate of completion will be issued to all who successfully complete the course. Instructor: Sheri Price

Spend a week playing and learning about chess from the Silver Knights chess coaches! Our coaches are highly rated professional chess instructors. Campers are broken up into groups by skill level, so we accept anyone from total beginners through experienced and highly rated tournament players. Each camper receives a t-shirt and a tournament style chess set. Activities include learning opening tactics, endgames, studying master games, playing games against fellow students and analyzing the student’s games.

Looking for FUN out of the sun? KidzArt camps are perfect for kids who love art or who would just like to try something new! Join us for quality art instruction that mixes technique and skill building with opportunities for creative freedom and self-expression in a fun and relaxed environment. Each camp will feature a brief art show on the last day, where our young artists will proudly present their materpieces. ALL camps will use artist grade materials and include a cool KidzArt t-shirt!

There is a $35 materials fee payable to the instructor on the first day of class.

KidzArt: Pirate Adventure
Arrgh! Matey! Walk off the plank and dive right into KidzArt's Pirate Adventure camp! Our experienced "Captains" will help bring life to fun filled projects. Pirates will set sail on a voyage of creativity with a treasure map, clay sea creature, watercolors, pirate treasure and other messy projects!

KidzArt: Art Safari
Grab your jungle hats - we're going on a safari! Check out all kinds of cool animals and learn to draw your favorites. Explorers will experiment with a wide varitey of media, including 3D sculpture and 2D drawings on unique surfaces. This wild ride is sure to spark creativity!

KidzArt: Dolls! Dolls! Dolls!
Calling all American Girls! Whether she’s from New York or Target, your 18” doll is going to love coming to camp with you! Dress your doll up for our daily fashion show and themed days like Pajama Day and Twin Day! Each day we will use our creative thinking and artistic talents to make special items for you and your doll. Some projects will include: a framed portrait of your doll, matching jewelry, an original doll t-shirt designed and created by you and a sweet picnic set complete with handmade clay food! We’ll finish our week with a fashion show and a fabulous tea party!

A camp for all wizards! Our KidzArt “professors” will kick off camp with the sorting of our first years into their houses. Since Olivanders is all the way in London, we’ll need to make our own wands. Performance Camp
A day camp experience that culminates in the performance of an original musical play on Friday afternoon for your family and friends to enjoy! We welcome would-be actors and singers for a unique experience. Children will experience singing, dancing and drama along with regular camp activities.

Musical Theatre Camp
Join West Arundel Creative Arts and journey "Under the Sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's Little Mermaid Jr.  All participants will be given a role in the production, including dancing, designing sets, acting as junior stage managers and most of all, having FUN. Young Scientists, Old Bones: Dino Camp
Students will be actively engaged in hands-on paleontology experiences as they study the dinosaurs in the Mesozoic Era. All students will conduct an archeological dig and reconstruct their own dinosaur to be displayed in the FASTRACKIDS Museum.

Super Summer Science Institute
Campers will engage in hands-on activities as they learn about earth sciences and natural sciences. Magic Performance
Focusing primarily on the Performance Art of Magic, students train in a variety of forms of magic: sleight of hand, mentalism, apparatus and coin, as well as learning the basics of what it means to be a magician. A variety of magical games, craft projects and activities accompany serious magic instruction. A culminating performance allows students to perform as effect they ahve mastered in a close-up setting for parents and friends. All supplies included.

Learn to Ride a Bike Camp
Say goodbye to training wheels! This camp is for kids who are transitioning to riding without training wheels. Participatns may start out with them but will learn to ride without training wheels during this camp. Discover balance and learn riding skills, braking, stopping, starting, steering, play bike riding games and go on short tours when ready. Participants receive t-shirt and sticker. Required equipment: Bicycle without training wheels, helmet, bike gloves, water bottle or hydration pack and snack.

Bike Riding Camp
This camp provides a hands-on, educational way for children to master the art of bicycle riding. Learn basic bike riding, steering, shifting, braking, safety and rules of the road. In addition to improving skills, this bike camp gives children a chance to socialize and interact with their peers, getting away from the TV and into the great outdoors this summer. Youth Safe Boating Program
In collaboration with Annapolis Community Boating (ACB), Anne Arundel County will launch its Spirit of America safe-boating program for youth at Mayo Beach Park in Edgewater and Downs Park in Pasadena. The Spirit of America Camp trains campers to become safe boaters in different types of boats. They will learn basic boating skills and take the Maryland Boaters Education Certificate Course, with a cerification test administered at the end of the week. This hands-on curriculum includes boating terms, weather conditions, navigation, right-of-way rules and rescue techiniques while motor boating, canoeing, kayaking and sailing. Creative Contraption Warning! This is a camp designed by you – the inventor! Each day you’ll be given a series of challenges which must be overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from world famous inventors and the most important thing of all, your mind. With a little bit of ingenuity you will construct catapults and forts, fabricate a winning Egg Drop design, play with a dancing robot and assemble a working light saber to take home.

Survivor: Engineer's Cove
Welcome to Survivor: Engineer's Cove! Students in this 5 day camp will find themselves stranded on an abandoned island filled with perilous obstacles. The tribe with the most points at the end of the week will claim the honor of Survivor: Engineer's Cove winner. During this interactive and competitive camp, students will explore the fiels of electrical engineering, environmental engineering, aerospace engineering and marine engineering as they design and csontruct tools that will help them survive and eventually escape the island.
