About the Program
Paddlers will explore many various locations around Anne Arundel County. Each trip will include basic kayak instruction and a whole lot of FUN, so be prepared to GET WET! Our certified instructors will be with you all day to share their knowledge of not only paddling, but also about the local ecosystem, diversity of life and history. Safety permitting, there will be the opportunity to wade and swim.
We provide all the equipment necessary to enjoy a day on the water. Please bring your own lunch, snacks, and plenty of water as well as a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and dry clothes. Space is limited, registration required. Children must be at least 13 years old to participate and be accompanied by an adult.
Beginner trips: Trips which are in easier navigable and calmer waters. These trips are geared more towards an introduction to kayaking and basic on the water skills. All of these trips are open to all and welcome more advanced paddlers as well. These trips will be between 3.5 - 4.5 hours.
Intermediate trips: These trips will usually be longer and located in areas that may require more familiarity with paddling. We will still be doing instruction but because of the nature of the trip, we are asking that paddlers have some experience on the water in order to attend these trips. Intermediate trips will be between 5-6 hours.
All trips will begin at 8:30am.
