Directions to Programs
Adaptive Recreation programs are designed for all Abilities, however not all programs are appropriate for all individuals. We offer programs that are intended to provide integration opportunities in a fun and non-competitive manner. Peer coaches are always welcome to volunteer and participate in the programs. If you are a new participant or wish volunteer information please contact Wendy Scarborough at 410-222-7313 ext. 3554 for additional program information or requests for inclusion in other programs. Supervision: 1:3 ratio unless otherwise noted. Please contact if your child has a medical protocol or takes medication. A nurse is not available during the school year programs. |

| Social Clubs |
Teen Club for Youth with Development Delays Teens with differing abilities get together with peers for dancing, games, parties and socialization. 1:5 supervision ratio. Programs runs when school is in session. Schedule is subject to change with school availability.

| Swim Programs for Youth and Adults of All Abilities |
Parent/Caregiver must be available to be in the pool the first night during assessments. 1:1 ratio relationships will require parent/caregiver participation as determined by the instructor. Parent/Caregiver must provide escort to and from pool area and locker room. |  |

| Adaptive Winter Recreation at Ruth P. Eason Special School |
Adaptive Basketball Adaptive coed basketball for all abilities. Learn basic skills, sportsmanship and the rules of basketball. This program is designed to give athletes with cognitive and physical disabilities the opportunity to play ball and have fun. Wheelchairs welcome. Volunteers and Parents are encouraged to assist. Background checks are required for all volunteers as stated in County Policy. Age 5-15, $50 - 10 weeks Ruth P. Eason Special School #457002 Sat 10:00-11:30am Jan 7 Adaptive Floor Hockey Coed Floor Hockey for ages 5-15 of all abilities. Learn basic skills, sportsmanship and the rules of floor hockey.
