What are the park hours? |
Park hours are 7:00 a.m. to dusk. Office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekends. The park and all facilities are closed on Tuesdays. |

Do we have to pay to come in the park? |
You can walk or ride your bike into the park at no charge. If you wish to drive into the park the vehicle entrance fee is $5 per vehicle or $30 for an annual pass. We also have a senior pass for $35 which is a lifetime pass for a citizen 60 years old or older. You can purchase your vehicle pass at the gatehouse, but must come up to the Visitor Center office to purchase your lifetime pass. (Be sure to bring your ID with you for your lifetime pass.) |

Can I have my wedding in the park? |
Ceremony Only - can be held at the South River Overlook or the Pond Gazebo and is limited to 75 people maximum (limits are set to protect the natural resources of the park and also to allow access for regular patrons of the park). Chairs can be rented (if necessary) from a rental company of your choice and placed on the brick area of either location. The area is booked in two-hour increments. Ceremony & Reception or Reception Only – can be held in the Blue Heron Center, which is centrally located in the park and is surrounded by a formal garden. The capacity is 150 seated or 225 standing. Can I hold a meeting at the park? |
Meetings or parties can also be held in the Blue Heron Center. |

| Do you rent picnic pavilions? |
We have four large picnic pavilions, each accommodate a maximum of one hundred people. We also have two small pavilions that each accommodate a maximum of fifty people. There is no running water and no electricity at the pavilions. We do not allowed amplified music at the pavilions. You can have your choice of caterers at the pavilion (no generators allowed) or you have ample grills and space to do your own grilling. Payments for pavilions are due in full within two weeks of making your reservation. There is much open space in the park if you wish to bring in volleyball equipment, horseshoes, etc. We do not supply any sports equipment, but we do encourage you to bring your own and have a good time! All alcoholic beverages are prohibited. |

| What can visitors do at the Quiet Waters Park? |
Visitors can walk, jog, or bike on over 6 miles of paved trails winding through hardwood forests and past grassy fields, play at the brand new large, multi-level children’s playground, enjoy the vistas of the South River Promenade and Scenic Overlook, or picnic among 340 acres of beautiful park land. Boating opportunities are available seasonally. The park’s Visitor Center includes formal gardens, art galleries, and public restrooms. |

| What programs does the park offer? |
There are regular programs that take place annually to include: Concerts, Safe Boating Courses, Bridal Celebration/Open House, Earth Day, Fine Arts Festival, Art Gallery Exhibits and Sculpture in the Park. We also have occasional Bird Walks, Birdseed Sales and Children’s Nature Programs. |

| Can I launch my boat in the park? |
We have boat rentals in the park located on Harness Creek to include kayaks, canoes and pedal boats. Weather permitting the boat rental begins in late April and rent through mid October. For further information on boat rentals you can call our concessionaire ‘Paddle or Pedal’ at (410) 271-7007 or visit the Paddle or Pedal site. We do not allow docking of boats or launching of boats in the park other than our rental boats. |

| How can I volunteer? |
We have an organization under the name of Friends of Quiet Waters Park. This group of volunteers helps the park in many ways - through programs, benefits, art exhibits, fund-raisers and many other areas. If you wish to volunteer for the park you can call and ask for the park ranger in charge of volunteers and he/she will guide you in the right direction. |

| Can I swim in the park? |
Swimming is not allowed anywhere in the park. |

| Do you have ball fields? |
We do not have ball fields in the park, but you are welcome to bring in your own equipment for a less than official game, badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, etc. We do not provide any sports equipment in the park. |
