Facility
  • The capacity of the Blue Heron Center is 150 people for a seated event or 225 people for a standing function.
  • A contract with Quiet Waters Park must be signed in advance of the function.
  • Smoking is prohibited in all park buildings.
  • The immediate lower garden area (the area surrounded by the brick wall) is included in the rental at no extra charge.
  • Activities not specified in this contract must be approved by the Park Superintendent.
 
Reservations
  • Reservations may be made by contacting Quiet Waters Park office at (410) 222-1777. (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.). The park is closed on Tuesdays, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
  • A non-refundable security deposit is required to confirm a reservation and is due two weeks after the reservation is made. Payment in full is due one month prior to the event. Prompt payments are the responsibility of the client. A damage deposit is also required one month prior to the event. We cannot accept credit cards. All checks should be made payable to Anne Arundel County. If the facility is left undamaged, the damage deposit will be returned to the rental party. A designated Quiet Waters Park staff member will determine the condition of the facility. A clean up checklist will be completed and kept on file in the park office.
 
Rental Hours
  • The facility is available year-round Mondays - Sundays (closed Tuesdays). Daily rental of 8 hours to include set up and clean up. The 8 hour increment can be between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • All functions must end by 10:00 p.m.
  • Guests may not occupy the Blue Heron Center prior to the scheduled start of the function. Decorating prior to the scheduled starting time must be arranged in advance with Quiet Waters Park and your caterer.
 
Parking
  • Rental fee for the building includes all park entrance fees.
  • All vehicles must park in designated parking areas.
  • Driving and parking on the grass are prohibited.
 
Equipment
  • Quiet Waters Park provides 15 (6 foot diameter) round tables, 5 (6 foot length) rectangular tables, and 150 chairs. All other equipment is supplied by the client or caterer.
  • All rental equipment must be set up and removed on the same day as the facility Rental. Quiet Waters Park will not be responsible for receiving or securing additional equipment.
  • Park furniture may not be set up outside. Rental chairs may be set up on brick surfaces only. Garden benches are provided. Arrangement of the benches is the responsibility of the rental party.
  • Food and beverage set up is not permitted outside. Due to possible spills, beverages may not be placed on the carpet.
  • Tents are not permitted.
 

Decorations and Confetti

  • Decorating must be coordinated with Quiet Waters Park and your caterer.
  • The throwing of rice, glitter, confetti and birdseed is prohibited.
  • Balloons are prohibited.
  • Items which damage the building, such as nails, screws, thumbtacks, staples, and tape are prohibited.
 
Music
  • Amplified music is permitted inside the building only.
  • Music must be played at a reasonable volume so as not to disturb other park visitors. Volume will be determined by Quiet Waters Park staff.
 
Rehearsals
  • Reservations are required for all wedding rehearsals and photo shoots.
  • Rehearsals must take place during regular park hours.
  • Park staff will determine the location of all rehearsals.
  • Rehearsals may be held in the lower garden area only if the Blue Heron Center is not rented by another party.
  • The building must be rented for any rehearsals inside the facility.
