Mayo Beach Park (Permit Only)

Mayo Beach Park sits right at the mouth of the South River and the Chesapeake Bay. The park is available to groups on a permit basis for civic and nonprofit organizations, weddings, receptions, cultural exhibits, company picnics and family reunions. Use is exclusive to the individual or organization submitting the application.

Use of the facility for renting is for private functions only. The selling of tickets to the general public or using the facility for fundraising is prohibited. No commercial or promotional activities are allowed. Such events misrepresented will be cancelled up to and including the day of the event. The maximum group size is 1000. There is handicapped parking, toilet, and ramp to beach area. The rental of Mayo Beach Park includes the use of the beach, parking lot, and Pavilion (230 maximum seating) with a small noncommercial kitchen, small grills, play area and ball field. There are concrete areas that may be used for outside dancing, eating, and music. Rental is exclusive with the exception of a small craft beach launch area used primarily by windsurfers when wind conditions are favorable.
