Kinder Farm Park Livestock |
 |
Kinder Farm Park 4-H Livestock Club teaches our youth valuable life skills and a basic understanding of agriculture and its importance in society. Cows, goats, sheep, pigs and poultry are just some of the animals that our 4-H members and adult volunteers work with. Our members are also given the opportunity to compete at 4-H competitions and the County Fair.

Black Angus Heifer at Kinder Farm Park |
A Black Angus heifer arrived at Kinder Farm Park on Monday, December 12, 2005. Currently weighing in at about 600 pounds, the heifer was born last March at the Day's farm in Howard County. Kinder Park 4-H Livestock Club member Kara Kreiger age 14, is caring for the heifer and will be showing her in 4-H competitions and the County Fair over the next year. The students at Benfield Elementary School were asked to decide on a name for Kinder Farm Park’s newest resident. Kinder Farm Park’s own, Clover and Levi, Jersey steers, have already fallen hopelessly in love with her. |
