The 25-acre Homeport Farms Park, located off of Solomon’s Island Road south of Annapolis, was conveyed to the County for use as a passive recreation park. The property will be managed for parkland, nature preservation and restoration, open space and low-impact recreational uses such as: • nature study
• gardening
• walking and running trails
• bicycling
• non-motorized watercraft access
• environmental research and conservation Some proposed activities at the Park will serve as ecological models to demonstrate low-impact development, innovative storm-water management techniques, native plantings and re-forestation, and living shorelines.
