If you have not visited Fort Smallwood Park in a while, you will not believe the improvements we’ve made. Now is the time to gather up your family and come visit us again. On April 1, 2006 Fort Smallwood Park became the newest regional park in the Anne Arundel County Park System. Located on the Patapsco River, Fort Smallwood Park is a wonderful place to have a great time.
On September 19, 2009 County Executive John R. Leopold officially dedicated the 380-foot fishing pier at Fort Smallwood Park "Bill Burton Fishing Pier". The previous pier was destroyed in 2003 by Hurricane Isabel. The pier enhances the park experience for fishermen, birdwatchers, and admirers of local scenery. | Bill Burton Fishing Pier
