County Executive Leopold Signed Lease Agreement for U.S. Naval Academy Dairy Farm

Annapolis (January 17, 2008) - Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold and representatives from the U.S. Department of Navy officially signed the 30-year lease agreement for the county’s use and preservation of the U.S. Naval Academy Dairy Farm at a press conference on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the Arundel Center’s Executive Conference Room in Annapolis, Maryland.

The lease agreement with the U.S. Department of Navy will give the county the authority to explore County Executive Leopold’s vision for the 857-acre property to remain a working farm and an educational and recreational destination for county residents.
