| Does Anne Arundel County Parks offer public boat launches? |
Recreation and Parks does not operate a public boat launch at this time. The City of Annapolis has a public boat launch at Truxton Park (410) 263-7958 and Sandy Point State Park has a public boat launch (410) 974-2149. |

| ...public beaches? |
At this time there are no public beaches offered through Recreation and Parks. During the summer months the county will offer Sunday Swimming at Mayo Beach Park. For additional information about Mayo Beach Park follow this link. |

| ...a skateboard park? |
Yes, the Sawmill Skateboard Park. The City of Annapolis has a skateboard park at Truxton Park (410) -263-7958. |

| Could I bring my radio controlled car to an Anne Arundel County Park? |
The use of a radio controlled car (or any other radio controlled item) is not allowed in the Anne Arundel County parks. Please contact the Chesapeake Remote Control Model Association (410) 841-5256. |

| What about windsurfing? |
Windsurfing is only permitted at Mayo Beach Park after completing the permit application and paying the annual fee. Please contact Mayo Beach for additional information (410) 222-1978 or follow this link. |

| Recreation Programs |
| How do I register for programs? |
There are three easy ways to register for recreation programs. By mailing in your registration form which can be found at the back of the Program Guide or on this website. Complete the form and mail it to our office with your payment. We also accept walk-in registrations at our main office located at 1 Harry S Truman Parkway in Annpolis. Or you could also register online with a major credit card by using the Online Registration system. For park programs please regsiter at the specfic park. |

| What is the payment policy? |
Payment must be made in-full (with the exception of deposit on registraions for Trips and Excursions programs) and mailed with the regsitration form in the form of check or money order. |

Sports |
I would like to sign my child up for a sports league? |
There are approximately over 100 Recreation Councils and Athletic Associations throughout Anne Arundel County, which organize teams to enter participants in the Department's organized sports leagues. In order to contact your community’s Recreation Councils or Athletic Association please visit the Resource Links section in this site. If you can not located an Association in your area, call the Sports desk at (410) 222-7865. With the exception of a few sports, the Department does not register or assign individual players to teams. Established teams register with the Department at our organizational team meetings. |
