Counselor-in-Training (CIT) 2012 Program

The 2012 Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program with the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks. Due to increased interest in the CIT program, acceptance has become more competitive. The CIT program is now offered for 3 - two week sessions in our Summer Fun Center locations and Quiet Waters
Day Camp. Downs Park Day Camp is not available this summer.

Volunteer Summer Serve Leadership Challenge (VSSLC) 2012 Program
The Volunteer Summer Serve Leadership Challenge 2012 (VSSLC) program. The VSSLC program is a 2-week volunteer program with a total of 4 different sessions. Applicants are expected to be able to communicate and work well with others in a team-building atmosphere. The program works in partnership with our Adaptive Day Camp Program. Volunteer experience will include working with individuals with disabilities, practicing leadership skills and completing volunteer projects with other community agencies.

Youth Conservation Corps (YOUTH CORPS) 2012 Program

Youth Conversation Corps program is a NEW volunteer program based out of Lake Waterford Park,
Pasadena. Youth completing grade 8 June 2012 up to the age of 16 are welcome to apply. The program will be held daily from 9 am – 3 pm for two 2-week sessions during the month of July. Volunteer experience will include park conservation and clean up at Lake Waterford Park as well as at other county facilities. 
 
Please open the 2012 YOUTH CORPS application link below to read information about the program. Applications will be accepted starting January 3, 2012. Interviews and acceptance will start February 1, 2012. This is a first come first serve program with a maximum number of participants. Final deadline for application is May 4, 2012.

School Year Adaptive Sports Volunteer Positions
Volunteer athletes, coaches and caring individuals needed to work with Special Needs youth in our Adaptive Sports programs. Must be 14 years old and willing to volunteer for the length of the programs.  This is a Service Learning opportunity. Kroll Background check required for those over 18.
