Recreation and Parks' Facility Supervisor North Arundel Aquatic Center Lisa Carroll received the Employee of the Year award due to her exceptional management skills. The North Arundel Aquatic Center continues to operate in a fiscally responsible manner. Under Lisa's leadership, the public interest in aquatic programs has increased and pool usage expanded. Pool staff adheres to her high stand of performance and is responsible and hospitable, thus providing a friendly and helpful environment for pool patrons. Lisa's creativity and strong problem solving skills contribute to the success of NAAC and the enjoyment of the citizens of Anne Arundel County. |

Recreation and Parks' Supervisor of Cultural Resources Karyn Molines received the Employee of the Year award for her direction provided to the Master Planning Committees for Hammonds Connection at the Dairy Farm and Homeport Farm. Karyn's leadership skills and dedication to preserving valuable land and wildlife while providing enjoyment for the public. Her diligence led to the development of the Anne Arundel County Garden Advisory Committee in response to an expressed need from the community. While working alongside the Friends of Hancock’s Resolution and Linthicum Walks, Karyn has enhanced these facilities and programs and promoted awareness of the educational and historic facets of these cultural resources. |

| On behalf of Major General J. Michael Bednarek and Command Sergeant Major Maxwell R. Dean, First Army Division East Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Framarini presented a certificate of appreciation plaque to Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks Administrative Manager Bob Brandenburger. Bob was recognized for his outstanding support for the Annual Commander and Senior Army Advisor to the National Guard (SPAAG) Conference of the physical training portion. |

May 21, 1979 signifies the date that Mark Smith began his career with Anne Arundel County. During a recent departmental brown bag lunch, Mark was recognized for his 30 years of dedicated service. Director Frank Marzucco presented Mark with a Spirit of Excellence Citation and congratulated him on his outstanding performance of duty and stellar attendance record. Mark is Maintenance Specialist at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. |  |
