This upcoming sports season more children will have the same fair chance of enjoying the game. Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks has revised the Mandatory Participation Guidelines for county-sponsored youth baseball and softball. The guidelines require that all baseball and softball players, age ten and under in the B and C leagues have the opportunity be in the starting line-up. As stated in the county’s Organized Sports Rules, “principals of participation, diversity, safety and fun guide the programs of the Department." As always rule number one is to have FUN.
