School Age Child Care - Employment Opportunities

Philosophy/ Program

The Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks is pleased to be able to offer state licensed School-Age Child Care (SACC) programs in neighborhood schools throughout Anne Arundel County. The SACC programs provide a nurturing environment that promotes social interaction, community integration, physical development and intellectual growth in accordance with the State Child Care Regulations and the NSACA Standards for Quality School-Age Child Care.

Activities will include opportunities for individual and group participation, while providing a balance between self-selected and staff-directed activities. There will be a full component of arts & crafts, sports, and games. Social skills and self-esteem activities as well as other enrichment opportunities will also compliment the program. In addition, all outdoor facilities will be utilized to augment the regular programming.
