The Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks is pleased to be able to offer state licensed School-Age Child Care (SACC) programs in neighborhood schools throughout Anne Arundel County. The SACC programs provide a nurturing environment that promotes social interaction, community integration, physical development and intellectual growth in accordance with the State Child Care Regulations and the NSACA Standards for Quality School-Age Child Care. Activities will include opportunities for individual and group participation, while providing a balance between self-selected and staff-directed activities. There will be a full component of arts & crafts, sports, and games. Social skills and self-esteem activities as well as other enrichment opportunities will also compliment the program. In addition, all outdoor facilities will be utilized to augment the regular programming.

The Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks School Age Child Care program is looking for energetic, enthusiastic individuals to work part-time with children in kindergarten through 8th grade. Minimum Staff Qualifications for Director, Child Care Teacher, Child Care Assistant & Aide
This is a great opportunity for the retired teacher, teachers getting ready to return to the workforce, college students, high school seniors, or anyone who is interested in making a difference in the lives of school-age youth.
Morning and/or afternoon hours are available with a maximum of 25 - 30 hours per week. Supplement your income while helping to shape the future of our youth.
- Minimum Age – 16 years
- Experience – experience working with School age children
- Additional Pre-Service Requirement - 9 clock hours in communication with staff, parents & the public, & 3 clock hours in Aide Orientation training.
All staff are required to receive training in CPR/ First Aid.
