| The Joe Cannon 5K Run and Fun Walk brings together the community in support of programs that provide recreation opportunities for youth of all abilities. The event, hosted by Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks, benefits Recreation Deeds for Special Needs Inc. and the Friends of Joe Cannon. |

| The goal for the day was to raise enough money to send 20 youth to summer camps as well as assist with scholarship to other Recreation opportunities offered through the Department of Recreation and Parks and support the Friends of Joe Cannon activities. |
