The Anne Arundel County, Department of Recreation and Parks is pleased to announce Moira Leavitt as the 2006 recipient of the Beebe Castro Award. Moira Leavitt is with the Crofton Athletic Council. Crofton Athletic Council President Steve Conyer presented the award on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the Coaches Certification Clinic. The Beebe Castro Award is given to a person who has volunteered his/her time to promote and enhance opportunities for girls in recreational sports in Anne Arundel County. The recipient has also demonstrated and promoted positive sportsmanship. |
