Each weekly event will vary in format to include individual competitions, 2 person team and 4 person team events.  Handicaps will be used for all events and recording each week of play and adjusted accordingly.

All skill levels are welcome, both men and ladies.  The purpose is to enjoy the game of golf, meet new people and have fun.

League Rules

1.  Maximum score on any hole is DOUBLE PAR
2.  Men <65  White tees, Men>65 Gold  tees, Ladies Red tees
3.  Winter rules through the green meaning you are allowed to lift/clean and place the ball up to one club length no closer to hole, excluding water hazards and bunkers.
4.  All putts are to be holed out unless you are at the Double Par
5.  Lost Balls, out of bounds, water hazards:  All will be played the same.  For lost and out of bounds shots, drop the ball within 2 club lengths where the ball was lost or went out of bounds. If this is in the woods, you can drop the ball with 2 club lengths of the wood line.  Balls in water hazards or environmental areas, drop the ball within 2 clubs where it went in the hazard or at the designated ball drop.  In each of the above situations, a 1 stroke penalty will be assessed.
6.  Balls played from either bunkers or water hazards (red or yellow stakes) can not be moved if you decide to play where it lies,  nor can your club be grounded.
7.  At any time on a hole you can declare a ball unplayable in which you can drop a ball within 2 club lengths of the unplayable lie, with a 1 stroke assessment.
8.  Regardless of the circumstance and the ball flight, you always have the choice to replay a shot with a one stroke and distance penalty.
9.  All events will be based on the net scores (Raw score less your handicap).
10.  Additional rules for team events will be distributed at the time of the event.

Lastly, speed of play is critical. Always observe proper etiquette, but where possible do what is necessary to keep play at a good pace.  When carts have to stay on the paths, make sure you have all the clubs and extra balls for the shot.  Continuous putting is recommended on the green.

The staff of Compass Pointe works very hard to provide the best playing conditions. Please respect that by replacing your divot and one other, and fix your ball mark and one other on the green.

Prizes

1.  Prizes will be award to approximately 35% of the players. The amount of the prizes will depend the number of players.  Prizes will be in the form of gift cards for merchandise and or other services provided by Compass Pointe.  Prizes will also be given for the closest to the pin on each of the 2 par 3’s.

2. There will be an optional skins game for $3.  This game will be based on Gross score of the hole (does not factor in handicap).  The player with the best score with no ties will get a skin. However, birdies and all ties will also be awarded a skin.  An eagle will earn a double skin.

3.  Winners can pick up the prizes at the Pro shop anytime after the Wednesday following the event.
