Information Requests

Police Reports

Police Reports are maintained at Police Headquarters by the Central Records Section of the department. The service window in the front lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to handle your requests. The cost for a Police report is $5.00.

You may also request a report through the mail by sending $6.00 and all pertinent information to:

A stamped, self addressed envelope will expedite the process.

All requests for reports must be either mailed in or brought in by person. There are no provisions to request reports by telephone or fax. All checks should be made payable to Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Neighborhood Statistics

Statistical requests should be made by community and will be given for a 2 year period. The cost for this service is $20.00. Request forms are available at the Central Records window in the front lobby of Police Headquarters, 8495 Veterans Highway, Millersville, Md. 21108. The service window in the front lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Your questions regarding this procedure may be directed to (410) 222-8781.

Copies of 911 Call Tapes

Through September and October 2008, our 911 Communication Center was operational from a remote facility. During that time, our communications systems, including the call recorder, was operated by means of alternative emergency procedures. This caused our data to loose the streamlined applications we normally utilize to locate and copy audio files. For all requests for 911 audio during that time, prices will include a $25.00/hour fee for all reproductions taking more than two hours to create. This is the normal fee structure set for Maryland Public Information Act requests.

Requests for 911 tapes should be made within 90 days of the occurrence and the cost is $40.00. Request forms are available at the Central Records window in the front lobby of Police Headquarters, 8495 Veterans Highway, Millersville, Md. 21108. The service window in the front lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
