Traffic Advisory and CDS Arrest in Odenton, MD.

Route 450 at Boulters Way and Route 450 at the Naval Academy Bridge and Route 648  




On Saturday May 31, 2014, from 6:45 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. be prepared for traffic delays on Route 450 at Boulters Way, and Route 450 at the Naval Academy Bridge and Route 648.


The traffic delays will be related to a half marathon with approximately 2,000 participants. Route 450 northbound will be split into a two-way traffic from Boulters Way to the Naval Academy Bridge. The Naval Academy Bridge will be metered traffic.


 The race may affect motorists on the following roadways:


  1. Route 450 between Boulters Way and the Naval Academy Bridge north and southbound.
  2. Route 648 (Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard) between Route 450 and Greenbury Point Road
  3. Boulters Way between Route 450 and Winchester Road


There will be marked Anne Arundel County Police vehicles present during the event and assisting with traffic control along the route. During this event, motorists may expect traffic delays along the route as well as the adjacent roadways.



On May 22, 2014, at approximately 2:55 p.m., Western District TPU/TNT conducted a traffic stop in the area of Odenton Road and Sappington Station.  A search of the vehicle yielded 6.8 grams of crack cocaine with a street value $612, 7.4 grams of marijuana valued at $148 and 11 suboxone strips with a street value of $110. $260 in U.S. currency and a 1995 Chevy Tahoe were also seized. The driver was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS: Marijuana, Possession of CDS: Not Marijuana and Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS.
