Theft and Tampering with Autos - Glen Burnie


On July 29, 2014, at approximately 12:23 am, officers from the Northern District were dispatched to the area of Woods Avenue at Eugenia Avenue in Glen Burnie for a report of four individuals tampering with automobiles. 


A citizen observed four suspects pulling on door handles and going inside a vehicle parked near the intersection Woods Avenue and Eugenia Avenue. The citizen also reported that the suspects had flashlights and book bags and were believed to be juvenile boys and girls.  Numerous officers began checking the area for the suspects. While checking the area, an officer observed four individuals matching the description at Oakleigh Road at Glenmont Avenue. All of the suspects were subsequently detained.  Another officer made contact with the reporting citizen who positively identified all of the juveniles as the suspects involved in the incident. Property that had been stolen was recovered and returned to the owner.


The juveniles were arrested, transported to Northern District to be processed and subsequently released to their parents. A total of seven vehicles were tampered with and one juvenile was also in possession of CDS and was charged accordingly.
