Stabbing - Glen Burnie


On July 11, 2014 at 7:14 PM, officers from the Northern District responded to the 400 block of Browning Court, Glen Burnie for a report of stabbing.  A 27 year old male victim had been stabbed in the chest by another male, who was still on scene.

Investigation revealed that the victim, suspect and witness were at a location in Brooklyn Park when the victim and suspect began arguing.  All of the subjects are familiar with each other.  The victim and witness left the location in a vehicle and were followed by the suspect.  At a traffic light, the suspect exited his vehicle and approached the other vehicle and tried to fight the victim.  The witness and victim continued to Browning Court followed by the suspect.  Once the victim and witness stopped and got out of the vehicle, the suspect exited his vehicle and approached with a knife.  The victim picked up a shovel to defend himself, but was unsuccessful and was stabbed by the suspect.

The victim was driven to University of MD/Shock Trauma for treatment of his injuries.  The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Northern District.  He was charged with attempted second degree homicide, assault 1st & 2nd degree and reckless endangerment.
