Strong Arm Robbery - Annapolis


On July 27, 2014, at approximately 7:51 p.m., officers from the Southern District responded to the Red Garage at the Westfield Annapolis Mall for a report of a strong arm robbery of a citizen.

The victim, a 15-year-old male from Harwood, advised that two black male suspects and one white male suspect followed him from the mall into the parking garage. Once there, the suspects threatened the victim with physical harm if he did not relinquish his Air Jordan tennis shoes.  The victim complied with the demands and the suspects fled down the outside stairs
towards Sears.


The victim then contacted mall security about the incident. Mall security called the police. After a review of surveillance video, three suspects were established.


No injuries were sustained during this incident.  A canvass of the surrounding area was negative for the suspects.  


Suspect 1: Unknown black male, 17-18-years old, wearing a white t-shirt.

Suspect 2: Unknown black male, 17-18-years old, wearing a black t-shirt.

Suspect 3: Unknown white male, 17-18-years old, wearing blue t-shirt and fisherman style hat.

Northern District 

CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute - Glen Burnie


On July 27th, 2014 at approximately 12:16 am, officers from the Northern District Midnight Shift responded to the 500 block of Wellham Ave., Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County, Maryland for a report of recovered CDS.


Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting person who advised discovering a large quantity of marijuana located in a shed on his family member’s property.  The reporting person suspected that the marijuana belonged to his other family member who resided at the residence.  Officers secured the residence and obtained a search for the premises.  Upon execution of the search warrant, officers recovered 1,112.32g (2.4lbs) of marijuana having a street value of approximately $22,246.40.  Additionally, packaging materials and paraphernalia were recovered suggesting that the suspect was involved in the distribution of CDS.  Through investigation, officers were able to positively identify the suspect and apply for charges related to the recovery of the CDS.


On July 28th, 2014 at approximately 1:40 am, officers working on a tip as to the whereabouts of the suspect, subsequently located him at the Extended Stay located in the 100 block of Chesapeake Center Dr., Glen Burnie.  The suspect was arrested in his room without incident.


Suspect:  Wesley Byron Wheeler, 33, of the 500 block of Wellham Ave., Glen Burnie


Charges:  1 count CDS possession Marijuana, 1 count of CDS possession with intent to distribute Narcotics, 10 counts of CDS possession Paraphernalia, 2 counts CDS possession not Marijuana, 1 count CDS packaging material possession/distribution and Marijuana packaging possession/distribution.
