Robbery in Glen Burnie
NORTHERN DISTRICT - ROBBERY - GLEN BURNIE
On Saturday June 21, 2014, at approximately 1:55 p.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the 7800 block of Bruton Drive in Glen Burnie for a reported assault.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 14-year-old male victim from Pasadena, who stated that he was approached by two young males, who asked him what he had said to them. One of the male suspects then punched the victim while the second suspect took the victim’s bicycle. Both suspects then fled the area. A witness to the incident told officers that he believed he recognized one of the suspects and agreed to show the officers where the suspect lived. As they were driving there, the other suspect was spotted, and the witness identified him as the person who took the bicycle. That suspect was taken into custody without incident.
When the witness and the officer arrived at their original destination, the second suspect was spotted in the area and identified as the outstanding suspect by the witness. The second suspect was taken into custody without incident. The victim was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department for the treatment of minor injuries.
