Residential Burglary                                                                                                             Jessup

On July 23, 2014 at approximately 11:05 a.m., officers from the Western District responded to the 2800 block of Jessup Road, Jessup, MD, 20794, for a reported burglary that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who advised that he returned home from work and when he walked inside of his residence, he heard noise coming from the top level of the home. The victim advised no one was supposed to be inside the residence so he walked outside to contact the police. Once outside, as he was calling 911, a male that he did not know, exited the front door of his residence. The male was holding a bag full of the victim’s jewelry and personal items.

After a brief altercation in front of the residence, the suspect got into his vehicle, which was parked in the victim’s driveway, and fled south on Rt. 295. At that time, the victim got into his vehicle and followed the suspect. The victim followed directly behind the suspect’s vehicle until the suspect collided with the victim’s vehicle on Laurel Fort Meade Road.

After colliding with victim, both he and the suspect exited their vehicles. It was at this point that the victim was able to capture several pictures of the suspect with his cell phone camera. The suspect was able to flee on foot prior to officers arriving on scene.

The suspect vehicle was found to be a rental car. They were able to gather information to confirm the identity of the suspect.  Using that information, along with the pictures that the victim took of the suspect, detectives have positively identified and charged:

Rasean M Aldridge, 23, of 730 Templecliff Road, Baltimore, MD, 21208 with First & Third Degree Burglary and Theft 1,000 to under 10,000.

Aldridge is currently wanted on these charges. If anyone knows the whereabouts of this suspect or information related to this case, please contact Detective Marc Aguiar of the Anne Arundel County Police Western District Detective Unit at 410-222-6155 ext. 159 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
