Members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department, County leaders and Community groups are teaming up to participate in the 31st annual “National Night Out”. “National Night Out” is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5, 2014, and is a yearly crime and drug prevention program aimed at promoting police and community involvement in the partnership to create safer communities, heightening crime and drug prevention awareness and strengthening community spirit. Residents are urged to come out and participate in this positive event.

Chief of Police Kevin Davis and his entire command staff will be attending several events to show his support for communities standing against crime.

“This will be my second “National Night Out” as Chief of Police here in Anne Arundel County and I’m excited to meet the citizens who make our county great,” said Chief Kevin Davis.” During my first year as Police Chief, community involvement has led to many crimes being solved as a result of citizens contacting police with important information.
