ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY ARREST GLEN BURNIE
On May 6, 2013, at approximately 5:14 p.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the IHOP restaurant located in the 7100 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie for a report of an armed subject with a gun.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 36-year-old male victim, who advised officers the suspect entered his place of employment, approached him and demanded money from him in the men’s restroom area while implying that he was armed with a firearm. The victim was able to push his way out of the restroom and get away from the suspect. Initial information indicates that this was a targeted incident.
During the investigation, a suspect was developed through investigative means and positively identified by the victim. Detectives located and arrested the suspect at his residence on Norwich Road in Glen Burnie. He was transported to Northern District, where he was charged with Attempted Armed Robbery and related offenses.
