STRONG ARM ROBBERY LAUREL
On March 16, 2013, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers from the Western District responded to the area of S. Bruce Street near Gail Street in Laurel for a report of a strong arm robbery.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 25-year-old male victim, who advised that he was walking on S. Bruce Street and was approached by two unknown male suspects. One suspect punched the victim and knocked him to the ground while the second suspect proceeded to kick the victim while he was on the ground. Both suspects took the victim’s medication, wallet and shoes. The suspects were last seen running on S. Bruce Street towards S. Paula Street. Several officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects. The victim refused medical attention.
Suspect #1: Hispanic male, approximately 6’0”, 215 pounds with a goatee, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans
Suspect #2: Hispanic male, 5’10”, 175 pounds, wearing a black shirt and blue pants
CDS ARREST ARNOLD
On March 17, 2013, at approximately 5:30 p.m., an officer from Eastern District conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Tahoe in the area of College Parkway and Peninsula Farm Road for a minor traffic violation.
Officers later learned from a witness that the driver had discarded a large quantity of suspected marijuana from the vehicle prior to the traffic stop. The suspected marijuana was located in the area of Jones Station Road and Mago Vista Road. The marijuana was determined to weight approximately 111.6 grams with an estimated street value of $1,116. As a result, the suspect was arrested and charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute CDS. Approximately $2,100 and the suspect’s vehicle were seized.
