Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan

The purpose of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan is to ensure residents and visitors have the convenient and comfortable option of walking and bicycling for transportation and recreation. The plan was adopted in 2003. Specific components of the plan include:

  • A route network plan showing proposed high priority routes and pedestrian improvement zones
  • An action plan for initial projects and programs
  • Recommendations for future bicycle and pedestrian policies and procedures
  • List of sample corridors for pedestrian and bicycling improvements
  • Strategies to establish education and safety programs for children and adults, including bicyclists, pedestrians, and motorists
  • Funding recommendations
