Street Names and Addresses
Street name assignments are handled as part of the Development Review Process. The Research & GIS Division is notified at Final Development Plan stage.
The assignment of street names and numbers is the responsibility of the Office of Planning and Zoning and is implemented by the Research and GIS Division (Article 17, Title 6-107 of the Anne Arundel County Code.)

Procedure for New Subdivision
In an effort to streamline the process for assigning street names and addresses, we request that you follow the following procedure. All final assignments will be handled at Final Development Plan stage of the subdivision review process.

Upon receipt of this information the proposed street names and addressing are reviewed and approved. A letter of confirmation is sent to the contact person and all appropriate County agencies are notified.
