Correctional Intern

Department: Office of Detention Facilities

Duties: Correctional Case Management: Exposure to work in delivering programmatic services that provide counseling and supervision services to inmates committed to the Department of Detention Facilities institutions or participating in work release, alternative sentence programs, or the pretrial services program.

Qualifications: College-level course work in corrections, criminal justice, or related areas of study. Familiarity with the criminal justice systems and legal terminology. Knowledge of principles and practices in counseling individuals using case management principles. Ability to learn and apply modern and state of the art corrections practices, methods, techniques, equipment, and program methodologies.

Reports To: Correctional Program Specialist II, Office of Detention Facilities.
