The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works (DPW) will host a public meeting for the Mill Creek and Dividing Creek communities to discuss the recent sanitary sewer overflow at the Mill Creek Pumping Station. DPW Director Christopher Phipps and DPW Bureau of Utility Operations officials will present details regarding the spill on May 27, the countywide management of the public wastewater collection infrastructure system, water quality improvement efforts and the current $9 million capital improvement project to increase the Mill Creek Pumping Station’s operability and reliability. A representative from Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) will also attend the meeting to provide information regarding the electrical power sources at the facility. Residents will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
