COUNTY COUNCIL OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY

PROCEDURE FOR FILLING VACANCY FOR COUNTY EXECUTIVE

Requirements for the Office of County Executive are:

1.  Registration as a Republican for the 12-month period immediately prior to the election by the County Council;

2.  At least 25 years of age; and,

3.  A resident of Anne Arundel County for at least four years immediately preceding the election by the County Council.

People interested in the Office of County Executive are asked to submit a resume, to Elizabeth Jones, Administrative Officer to the County Council, no later than noon on  February 15, 2013.  A completed financial disclosure statement and questionnaire will also be required by the deadline.  The financial disclosure statement may be found at www.aacounty.org/Ethics/Resources/FDS_2012.pdf.  The questionnaire may be found by clicking the following link: Questionnaire for County Executive Candidates

The County Council will interview candidates and vote on a Resolution to appoint the new County Executive at a public meeting on February 21, 2013 at 7:00 P.M.
