County Executive Laura Neuman to Thank Annapolis Micro Systems for Supporting Holiday Sharing Program

Publish Date: 12/20/2013

Company owner Jenny Donaldson's donation of $10,000 in the last week of the program helps hundreds of seniors and families in need

(Annapolis, Maryland -  December 20, 2013) – Today County Executive Laura Neuman will visit Annapolis Micro Systems, a local computer company that stepped up with a generous donation of $10,000 to the county’s Holiday Sharing program.  Business owner Jenny Donald made the donation after reading a recent news story that the program was short of its goal of gift and food donations for about 1,200 families in Anne Arundel County in the last week before Christmas.

“Annapolis Micro Systems owner Jenny Donaldson, is a fine example of a great corporate citizen, and Anne Arundel County is fortunate to have business owners such as her who are willing to step up and set a tremendous example of what it really means to give selflessly during the holidays,” said Ms. Neuman “It is my honor to personally meet and thank this exemplary county resident and local business owner who encompasses the spirit of generosity and whose $10,000 donation is making a difference in the lives of local area families in need during the holidays.”

Anne Arundel Department of Social Services’ (DSS) Holiday Sharing program matches donors with a family or senior citizen in the county who needs help. Donors purchase and personally deliver food and/or gifts the week of Christmas.

Incorporated in 1982, Annapolis Micro Systems is a woman owned business on Admiral Cochrane Drive that produces computer circuit boards. Today’s visit by County Executive Neuman and Anne Arundel Economic Development President Ed Rothstein will also include a tour of the company’s facility which includes design labs and a surface mount assembly line.
