County Executive Leopold Offers Dumpsters for Communities in Need for Storm Debris Removal

Community associations should be point of contact

Annapolis (July 11, 2012) - Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold announced today that storm debris removal assistance may be requested through the Office of Community and Constituent Services.

“Some communities were particularly hard hit by the storm,” County Executive Leopold stated. “Our citizens take great pride in their communities and diligently keep their neighborhoods clean and clear of limbs and branches. We hope this special assistance will help those struggling with their continuous cleanup efforts.”

Citizens requesting dumpsters should contact the County Executive’s Constituent Services Office at 410-222-1795 or by email at If you have a community association or homeowner’s association, please allow the representative of that organization to make the dumpster request.

Yard waste, including storm debris, placed at the curb for recycling must be bagged or put in a container and mark with an "X." If not containerized, branches must be tied into bundles (not to exceed 4 ft/4" diameter). Logs and large limbs that cannot be collected at curbside can be taken to any of the three County convenience centers.
