County Executive Leopold Announces Retirement of Inspections and Permits Director Robert Hubbard
Bill Bryant will serve as Interim Director
Annapolis, MD (June 11, 2012) - County Executive John R. Leopold announced today that Inspections and Permits Director Robert C. Hubbard is retiring after overseeing a major overhaul of the County’s building code.
“I want to thank Robert Hubbard for his service to this County and particularly the expertise he brought to the code revision process,” County Executive Leopold said. “We wish him the best of luck in retirement.”
Hubbard’s retirement is effective July 1. Code Enforcement Administrator Bill Bryant, a 22-year veteran of the department, will serve as interim director as a search is conducted for a permanent director.
“Bill Bryant has shown the ability to manage large-scale efforts, whether he is responding to a natural disaster or increasing efficiency within the department,” County Executive Leopold said. “I am confident he will keep Inspections and Permits moving forward in the interim.”
