Capital Facility Connection Charges Increases July 1

Owners/Developers with Approved Allocation for Sketch , Site Development or Final Subdivision Plan

Can Pay Current Charge Until June 30

Annapolis, MD (June 15, 2011)—Anne Arundel County Council Bill 37-11, approved last week, will increase the Capital Facility Connection Charge for water and wastewater effective July 1, 2011. The connection charge for water will increase from $4,500 to $5,500 and the wastewater connection charge from $7,000 to $7,300 for each Equivalent Dwelling Unit.

Owners and developers with an Office of Planning and Zoning allocation approval letter for a sketch plan, site development plan or final subdivision plan may pay the current connection charges and allocation deferral fee of $4,860 for each planned unit for outstanding water allocation and the current $7,560 per planned unit for outstanding wastewater through the end of the day June 30, 2011.

If you have submitted a building permit application for a single family dwelling on a legally buildable lot and the fees have been assessed, you may pay the current charges of $4,500 for water and $7,000 for wastewater through the end of the day on June 30, 2011. Payments are accepted at the Heritage Office Complex Permit Application Center, 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
