2011 Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Days

Annapolis (April 4, 2011) — The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works Bureau of Waste Management Services 2011 Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off schedule is underway Some household products may be considered hazardous and should not be included in regular household trash. In order to properly dispose of these products Anne Arundel County holds several Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off days each year.

Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Days for 2011 are as follows:

March 12, 2011 - Sudley Convenience Center, 5400 Nutwell Sudley Road, Deale
April 16, 2011 - Glen BurnieConvenience Center, 100 Dover Road, Glen Burnie
May 7, 2011 - Millersville Landfill & Resource Recovery Facility, 389 Burns Crossing Road, Severn
June 18, 2011 - Glen Burnie Convenience Center, 100 Dover Road, Glen Burnie
July 9, 2011 - Millersville Landfill & Resource Recovery Facility, 389 Burns Crossing Road, Severn
September 24, 2011 – SudleyConvenience Center, 5400 Nutwell Sudley Road, Deale
October 15, 2011 - Glen Burnie Convenience Center, 100 Dover Road, Glen Burnie
November 12, 2011 – Millersville Landfill & Resource Recovery Facility, 389 Burns Crossing Road, Severn

Household Hazardous Waste will be collected between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

This program is for Anne Arundel County residents only delivering household hazardous waste. Waste from businesses is not permitted. Residents are encouraged to first use up chemicals, pesticides and other household products entirely for their intended use. If a product cannot be used in full, then the County’s program is the next best alternative. Products containing toxic chemicals include: oven cleaners, wood preservatives, pesticides, flammable liquids, oil-based paint, fluorescent light fixtures, gasoline, mercury thermometers and disinfectants.
