| State Highway Administration Permit Issued for Overnight Monday
Annapolis, MD (September 17, 2010) A State Highway Administration Special Hauling Permit has been issued to allow overnight transport of an overweight motor carrier on Najoles Road and Dicus Mill Road in Severn. The permit was issued for 11:30 p.m. Monday, September 20 and the transport is expected to be complete by 3 a.m. Tuesday, September 21.
According to the permit, a large piece of electrical equipment will be transported. State police will assist in the transport and two-way traffic will be maintained. Motorists are asked to drive carefully in the area and to heed directions from State Police troopers. Minor delays may be encountered.
Under the terms of the permit, DPW will provide inspection services to ensure that the structural integrity of the road/bridge is not impacted. A performance bond has been secured by DPW in the event damage occurs as a result of this move.
