Anne Arundel County and Civic Organizations Sponsor "Bands2Benefit: HAITI" Community Concert & Fundraiser
Annapolis, MD (March 25, 2010) - County Executive John R. Leopold invites all County residents to attend Bands2Benefit: HAITI, a community concert and fundraiser to benefit the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund. The concert will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Annapolis High School, 2700 Riva Road in Annapolis.
"This is an opportunity for citizens concerned for the devastating events in Haiti to make a donation to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund and enjoy some of our talented local musicians," said County Executive Leopold. "The earthquake in Haiti left hundreds of thousands injured and displaced with little to no resources. The scale of the disaster is overwhelming and has touched the hearts of many, creating a desire and a need for people to give back and assist any way possible."
The concert will feature music by local musicians Dean Rosenthal, Connected, Tony Fazio & Friends, Spice and Clones of Funk. Jack Julius will entertain between performances and throw a little magic into the mix! General admission is $25.00 per person; all ticket holders will be eligible to win select gifts and door prizes. Tickets are available online at http://tickets.zooptix.com and will also be available at the door. Refreshments will be available for purchase at the event.
