County Executive Leopold Unveils New-Look County Website

Cleaner design features slideshows and multimedia

Annapolis (January 2, 2009) - County Executive John R. Leopold today released a redesigned County Web site that is simplified to provide easy access to services while also featuring pages that are pleasing to the eye.

"Functionality is the most important part of the Website, to make sure that citizens can access information quickly and easily," County Executive Leopold said. "Appearance is also important, because it helps market Anne Arundel County as a great place to live, work and play."

One of the biggest changes viewers will notice is simplicity. Pages have been reorganized to have less text while still conveying just as much information. The font sizes are bigger, and slideshows make the pages more inviting to visitors. One click gets you to video and multimedia features such as "Week in Review" and "DPW TV."

The County Website has been recognized before as one of the best government sites in the nation. Visitors can still look up phone numbers and learn news about the County, but now they do it in a modern and visually pleasing environment.
