MRPA picks Anne Arundel over nearly 200 marketing entries Annapolis (March 23, 2009) - County Executive John R. Leopold today congratulated the Department of Recreation and Parks for winning the 2008 Maryland Recreation and Parks Association (MRPA) Showcase Award for its outstanding Web site. "The Web is an important tool to communicate with our residents," County Executive Leopold said. "The Department of Recreation and Parks and the Office of Information Technology have developed a site that offers multiple activities on any given day in a user-friendly and attractive way. I am pleased the departments are receiving recognition for their great work." The award will be presented at the Annual Conference Awards Brunch on Thursday, April 16, in Ocean City. Anne Arundel County was chosen over nearly 200 entries in the category of marketing materials for populations over 100,000. |
