Two Nighttime Road Projects Set to Begin

Annapolis, Maryland (September 18, 2009) - The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works will begin two road resurfacing projects next week. Work at the intersection of Benefield Boulevard and Jumpers Hole Road in Severna Park is slated to start Sunday evening and a project to resurface Riva Road in Parole from the Heritage Office Complex to Admiral Cochrane Drive will begin Monday night.

In an effort to minimize the traffic impact, all construction will take place between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Within the first week of the Riva Road project, northbound motorist may see a detour utilizing Harry S. Truman Parkway and Admiral Cochrane Drive to loop back to Riva Road avoiding the construction. No detours are expected for the Benefield/Jumpers Hole project. All work should be complete in two to three weeks.
