Department of Health Provides H1N1 Flu Vaccine Clinic At Annapolis Health Services Building December 15 Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold announced that the County's H1N1 Flu Vaccination Program has been expanded to include seniors and healthy adults. "In addition to the at-risk target groups initially recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, now the general population can get the vaccine as well," Mr. Leopold said. "This will help to protect more County residents from the H1N1 flu virus." The Anne Arundel County Department of Health will provide a free walk-in H1N1 flu vaccine clinic on Tuesday, December 15, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Lower Level Conference Room of the Health Services Building, 3 Harry S. Truman Parkway, in Annapolis. Both flu shots and nasal spray will be available. Appointments are not required, and clinic hours are based on vaccine availability. The H1N1 vaccine clinic is for everyone who wants to help prevent the H1N1 flu. This includes senior citizens, healthy adults 25-64, and especially people in these at risk target groups -- pregnant women, young people 6 months to 24 years old, people who have chronic medical conditions and compromised immune systems, health care workers, emergency services personnel, and people who live with or provide care for infants less than 6 months old. As the Department of Health receives more vaccine, more clinics will be scheduled.
