County Executive Leopold Calls for Donations to Help Those in Need at Homeless Resource Day
Drop off locations will accept food, clothing, blankets
Annapolis (March 20, 2009) - County Executive John R. Leopold today called on Anne Arundel County residents to donate food, clothing, blankets and other items in anticipation of the second annual Homeless Resource Day.
"Our most vulnerable citizens, including people with mental and physical disabilities, senior citizens and children, need our help more than ever in this troubling economy," County Executive Leopold said. "Donating necessities such as food and clothing can really help an individual or family in distress."

Homeless Resource Day will be held on Saturday, March 28, at Annapolis Middle School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 400 volunteers have signed up to provide a wide range of services, including health screenings, help obtaining identification, hair cuts, employment assistance and much more. Volunteer registration is closed.
